Is pink discharge during pregnancy normal?

Pink discharge during pregnancy can sometimes happen for less urgent reasons, such as cervical sensitivity, recent sex, a pelvic exam, or light spotting around implantation. If it is very light and stops quickly, it does not always mean something serious is happening.

You should contact your clinician the same day if bleeding becomes heavier, turns bright red, comes with cramping, pelvic pain, fever, dizziness, foul-smelling discharge, or regular contractions later in pregnancy.

Your pregnancy week, the amount of discharge, and any symptoms around it matter. Tracking what you see and checking with a healthcare professional is the safest way to understand what applies to you.
