Higher estrogen and increased pelvic blood flow can cause more clear or milky white discharge that has no bad smell and does not cause itching. This normal pregnancy discharge is called leukorrhea.

Yellow-green color, bad odor, itching, burning, cottage-cheese texture, or bleeding can suggest infection. An exam is important to decide whether treatment is needed.
