How is vaginal birth or cesarean decided?

Birth method is decided by considering the mother's health, the baby's position, placenta location, previous births, pelvic factors, and the course of pregnancy. If there is no medical barrier, vaginal birth is often the first option.

Breech or transverse position, placenta previa, severe preeclampsia, cord prolapse, active genital herpes, or some previous uterine surgeries may require cesarean birth. The decision should be made with medical guidance and shared discussion.
